Jean Pierre Bernon started his hunting career by living amongst the Bassaris in Guinea and the Pygmies in the Congo, learning their traditional hunting techniques, particularly in the art of tracking. He then moved to Central African Republic and Cameroon where he spent three years. Here, he crossed paths with a famous hunter, with whom he started guiding professionally.
Longing to share his love of wildlife and hunting JPB created the agency Fauna Safari Club / Club Faune, offering clients personalised hunting trips in Western and Central Africa and in France. The business acts as an outfitter and an amicable guide.
Fauna Safari Club opens the first hunting camps in Benin, Central African Republic and Tanzania. The business now has 5 camps in Tanzania with one hundred local employees, actively aiding the local economy.
The creation of the CFC Study and Consulting Office, referenced by the European Union, specializing in developing African territories for hunting on the African continent.
Originally specialising in hunting trips in Africa, Fauna Safari Club was also organizing hunts in France for forest species and bird shooting. With the request of his customers due to absolute confidence shown in Fauna Safari Club, the company decided to expand his business in France by offering hunts in all of France and by developing the mountain hunts for chamois and mouflons.
With the success of its hunts in France, Fauna Safari Club decided to launch a new website, Hunting France (http://www.hunting-france.com/), dedicated only for the hunts in France. Big Game or Bird Shooting, they organize your trip according to the type of hunt and the species you are looking for.
After training as a "professional hunter " (camp management - guide - armory - taxidermy) Jean joins the company as head of the Porga camp in Benin and assistant guide on the hunting area.
It's Philippe's turn to join the adventure! After graduating from a business school in 2012, Philippe spent four years in Tanzania where he headed the operational part of the company organizing photo safaris. This hunting enthusiast, today works alongside Jean-Pierre Bernon as Deputy Director of the agency.
To symbolize this renewal implying a new dynamism and development, Fauna Safari Club decides to come with a new visual identity with a new logo and to launch a brand new website!
