Hunting in Chad
Chad is a great hunting country for collectors looking for unique species!
We organize hunting safaris from the only hunting area for big game in Chad. This area is characterized by a good population of the mythical Western Greater Kudu. It is also home to the Red-Fronted Gazelle (Rufifrons Gazelle) and some other more common Western species such as Lelwel Hartebeest, Bohor Reedbuck, etc.
Melfi hunting area is situated at 7-hour drive from N’djamena in the Guera region (southcentral part of the country). It is a beautiful area of approximately 150,000 hectares wide. It is formed by a series of hills and small “mountains” covered by a bushy savannah.
The hunting season runs from January to April.
Trophies
Chad is now the unique place in Africa where you can hunt the Western Greater Kudu and the Red-Fronted Gazelle. The sucess rate for both species has always been 100% and each year we harvest some amazing trophies. The populations of Lewel Hartebeest and Bohor Reedbuck are also good.

PERSONALISED HUNTS
Fauna Safari Club offers custom made hunting trips in the Cameroon Savanna. Accommodations
The hunting camp is made up of comfortable bungalows each with A/C and an adjoining private bathroom. The camp is located in close proximity to the areas thriving with game to make for a pleasant hunting experience.

Health
- Yellow fever vaccination.
- Precautionary treatment for malaria is highly recommended.
- Up to date tetanus vaccination or booster before your departure.
- Consult your local doctor if you have any concerns or questions regarding your health before traveling.
Equipement
- Fire arms need to be transported in closed hard gun cases.
- Ammunition needs to be carried in a separate case that must not exceed 5 kilograms (case + ammunition).
- You will need to have the original documents and receipts for your weapons during your trip.
