Hunting in Cameroon Savannah
We operate from one of the best hunting area in Northern Cameroon to hunt the mighty Lord Derby Eland, Korrigum and many other Western African species .
The hunting area is a stunning territory located about 5 hours drive from N’Gaoundéré, an area spanning approximately 200,000 hectares, south of the Boubandjida National Park.
This territory is filled with open plains and hills covered with savannah shrub, where several rivers flow through its terrain. As one of the most game-filled areas in Central and West Africa, the number of animals that are encountered each day is breathtaking. This area boasts the largest quota of Lord Derby Eland and Korrigum (Giant Topi), purely as a result of the hunting zone in Cameroon.
Our guides who have been working in the territory for several years are assisted by highly competent trackers.
The hunting season runs from the beginning of January to the end of April.
Clients land in Douala where they spend the first night in a beautiful hotel. The following day they take a domestic flight from Douala to Ngaoundéré.

TROPHIES
It is not uncommon to see large herds of Lord Derby Eland and Korrigum (Giant Topi) trophies multiple times as day. Western Roan and Western Hartebeest are numbered greatly giving you many opportunities to shoot a nice trophy throughout the safari. Central Kob, Nagor Reedbuck, and Sing Sing Waterbuck make for a less challenging hunt as they are highly populated and frequently spotted. It is also possible to spot Harnessed Bushbuck, Red-Flanked Duikers and Buffaloes.

PERSONALISED HUNTS
Fauna Safari Club offers custom made hunting trips in Northern Cameroon. Over a telephone interview or a meeting at one of our offices, you will discuss with an agent or guide your hunting preferences, after which we will arrange a trip adapted to your pace, physical condition and your expectations. The price and duration of your hunting trip will vary depending on the destination and or species sought. Our knowledge of the destinations and our long-standing partnerships allow us to offer you and your travel party an exceptional experience. Accommodations
Our hunting camp in Northern Cameroon is made up of several comfortable, air-conditioned bungalows, each with an adjoining private bathroom. The camp is located in close proximity to the areas thriving with game to make for a pleasant hunting experience. Meals are served in a large salon - dining room.

- Yellow fever vaccination.
- Precautionary treatment for malaria is highly recommended.
- Up to date tetanus vaccination or booster before your departure.
- Consult your local doctor if you have any concerns or questions regarding your health before traveling.
Equipement
- Fire arms need to be transported in closed hard gun cases.
- Ammunition needs to be carried in a separate case that must not exceed 5 kilograms (case + ammunition).
- You will need to have the original documents and receipts for your weapons during your trip.
