Hunting in Cameroon forest
Forest hunting is exciting and the local trackers with their dogs are expert hunters. Hunting is mainly on foot, but also from blinds settled near the edge of large clearings.
We hunt from an excellent hunting area where the most interesting species are Bongo, Dwarf Buffalo and Forest Sitatunga, some of which make splendid trophies. The population of bongos is impressive and there is probably one of the largest populations of dwarf buffaloes in all of Africa
March through April is when Dwarf Buffalo hunting is at its best. Bongo and Sitatunga are hunted early May to mid July. The Bongo are mainly hunted with dogs that set out on fresh tracks, and the Sitatunga are hunted from the comfort of tree stands.
Our forest concession is only 6 hours by car from Yaoundé (comfortable vehicle with A/C) so we do not need to charter a plane!
Hunters land in Yaounde, where they spend the night before leaving early in the morning in the comfort of 4×4 air-conditioned vehicles to be in camp for lunch.
Trophies
The density of the animals and the quality of the trophies are exceptional, especially for Bongo, Dwarf Buffalo and Sitatunga. The population of Dwarf Buffalo is probably among the highest one in Africa and the success rate is 100% at the right period. Are all present different species of duikers: Black-Fronted Duiker, Peters Duiker, Bay Duiker and Blue Duiker which are hunted by calling.

Accommodations
Located at altitude with a pleasant climate and a remarkable view of the surrounding forest, the main camp consists of comfortable bungalows each with its own bathroom. There is also a satellite camp located two and a half hours from the main camp that allows quick access to an area rich in bongo.

Health
- Yellow fever vaccination.
- Precautionary treatment for malaria is highly recommended.
- Up to date tetanus vaccination or booster before your departure.
- Consult your local doctor if you have any concerns or questions regarding your health before traveling.
Equipement
- Fire arms need to be transported in closed hard gun cases.
- Ammunition needs to be carried in a separate case that must not exceed 5 kilograms (case + ammunition).
- You will need to have the original documents and receipts for your weapons during your trip.
